Kristie’s moment of reverie has been disturbed, but that is nothing in comparison to what is taking place in the soul of M’sieur Ames, who came to see what St. P. could offer his son in his educational pursuits. We imagine the journey back down the stairs will be a challenge, now, unless Kristie gives him a boot for taking liberties. That would speed up his downward journey a bit.
